A Safer Way to Check Your Bone Health
At our center, we use R.E.M.S. (Radiofrequency Echographic Multi Spectrometry) — a new, radiation-free technology that makes checking your bone health simple, safe, and stress-free.
What is R.E.M.S.?
R.E.M.S. uses a gentle ultrasound scan (similar to what’s used in pregnancy) to look at the strength of your bones in two key areas:
Spine (lumbar vertebrae)
Hip (femoral neck)
Unlike traditional bone scans (such as DXA), this method does not use X-rays or radiation, so it’s safe to repeat as often as needed.
How the EchoS Scan Works
Our EchoS device quickly scans your bones and creates a clear report within minutes. The results include:
Bone Mineral Density (BMD): shows how strong and dense your bones are.
T-Score & Z-Score: compare your bone health to healthy adults and people your own age.
Fragility Score: a unique measure of bone quality, not just density.
Fracture Risk: a personalized five-year estimate of your chance of a major or hip fracture.
Why It’s Different
Most bone tests only measure density. But bone health is about more than that — it’s also about quality and structure. The EchoS scan is one of the first tools that checks both, giving you and your healthcare provider a fuller picture of your bone health.
